Very incomplete information on what to eat. Okay, fats and fibers - what the hell is that?! Some specific examples would be helpful, do you think?

Someone recommended eating veggies that have a lot of protein . It seems to me there is nothing to eat so eat what the heck you want to. That's where I am right now. I tired of this mistery of what to eat.

But canola oil, at least here in scandinavia, is promoted as a healthy oil with great omega 3-6 ratio What is the truth? ☹️

Dr.Becky, I don’t have a gallbladder and have issues when attempting high fat. Would bile salts help? I’d appreciate your advise regarding this. Thanks!

Asbestos used to work... Or clay, plaster etc... Dehydrated white leafy greens can be ground into a bulking agent, add ground sunflower seeds for a small improvement.... Mineral oil lipid alternative etc etc... Salted bearing grease instead of butter. If you isolated protein from vegan sources you can make some cool stuff...

You left out canola oil, very bad for us! We should eat more lard , in the form of frying our food in it, very good for us .

I remember when I was a high school and college kid in the 1970s, and everyone was skinny by todays standards, even the older folks. I also remember the triumph of the food industry, high fructose corn syrup, being introduced into our diets as a cheap substitute for refined sugar in processed foods and sodas, as well as the trend towards "super sizing" our fast food meals. Boy, do these changes show in our population. It's awful.

Eat foods like Aunt Bee made for Andy and Opie. Also, eat food that the Waltons ate. In both cases, mostly whole, real food. Any sweets should be homemade, with fresh, real ingredients. I know these are only TV characters, but, you get the idea. ;) If you choose to drink a soda, it should be only occasionally. Don’t eat fast food. It’s junk. So is processed and refined foods.

😏 So basically eat sticks and twigs? I've decided to ignore everyone's advice and just go with chewing on whale blubber. 😌

unfortunately I no longer listen to any DR. Marcus Welby or DR. Kildaire because they paint everything with a large brush. I am immunosupressed due to a kidney transplant and like most transplant Patients the 3 anti-rejection medications cause you to become a strange kind of diabetic, prednisone increase your glucose , another anti-rejection drug stop you from making insulin and the third one stop your cells from accepting insulin. So I decided to listen to some of these doctors and cut all dairy products and since I am vegetarian I already do not eat any animal food ad since I am living off a borrowed kidney I take it easy on protein such nuts and beans and then I stopped carbs, to start with I always had a steady weight of 147 lb +&- 2 lb, after this strange starvation diet I dropped to 130 lb and almost died because I contracted pneumocystis pneumonia which is a deadly protozoa and because of it I had to go on a 30 days cure which included large doses of prednisone and antibiotics , I would have preferred been waterboarded than that cure. Now I am on Mepron for life because of these crazy diets and had to gain back my weight and I am back at a steady 147 lb, my A1C was always around 6.5 but during the cure it jumped significantly but dropped back to 6.5 , I always had a step meter and always used to do the treadmill 10,000 steps a day , I am back on it and doing 12000 a day or more and of course back on carbs boiled potatoes, legumes and vegetables as well as fruits of all sorts including water melon and cantaloupes, however I am not back on dairy at the exception of the morning 1 cup of cereal and lactose free zero fat milk, I eat the occasional piece of dark chocolate and other sweets. like all transplant patients we have to take Losec due to high acidity caused by the drugs , so I tried apple cider vinegar and became violently ill, I should not have listened to these advices that do not come with warning to a certain group of patients such as transplant patients , they should check with the transplant clinic before trying anything because of the recommended diets or ideas can wipe the effects of the anti-rejection drugs like high fiber diets. For people who are immunosupressed my advice is to not watch any of these miracle diets than can cause more harm than good and wish that all these good doctors start with a warning especially to immunosupressed patients to not follow any recommended diets or supplement without consulting the transplant clinic. this year we celebrated my 20th anniversary for my transplant that I got from my wife's sister and the kidney is going strong because of my diet that was always to eat in moderation and stay away from any sort of meat.

A great video. Very clear and concise explanation. Low carb is the answer to weight loss and controlling weight sustainably. The key is to be disciplined by making conscious behavioural changes to your eating pattern (intermittent fasting) and food choices (low carbs).
